Ontario Works

The Ontario Works program delivers social assistance to families and individuals in need who reside on Munsee-Delaware Nation. Eligible recipients receive a monthly entitlement that includes basic needs and shelter. Ontario Works and ODSP clients may also be eligible to receive employment assistance or discretionary benefits.

The Ontario Works program is committed to providing timely and respectful support to Munsee-Delaware Nation members and families facing financial need. The program works to ensure eligible community members have access to the assistance they need while connecting them with employment and other support services to help build long-term stability.

GETTING STARTED

How to Apply

The first step in the application process is to contact the Ontario Works office to schedule an intake appointment. You must attend the intake appointment with your spouse or common-law partner, and any dependants 18 years of age and older, if applicable.

Status Card
Health Card
Bank account information
Income tax assessments
Driver’s Education
Proof of assets
Proof of shelter costs
Proof of income from any sources
Address and employment information for the past 12 months
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

Transitional Support Fund

The Ontario Works office also manages the Transitional Support Fund (TSF), which assists low-income community members with utility and rent arrears and other housing-related services. To find out if you are eligible or to begin the application process, contact the Ontario Works office directly.
